We live in a condo, and recently purchased some new cupboards for our bathroom, with drawers for the middle. The only problem is, all the piping runs through the middle from one side of the wall. The piping would go through the drawers from side to side, so this won't work.

Is there anything wrong with moving the pipind down about a foot and a half into the area behind the kick plate, so that all the pipes would be UNDER the cupboards?

Best bet would be to return the cabinets and purchase the right cabinets.:)

You might can shorten the drawer and get the clearance that way.

Unfortunately, premanufactured cabinet sizes tend to be standardarized. It is not likely that you can find cabinets to meet your plumbing confinguration. Your options tend to be to reconfigure plumbing or alter cabinets.
