I am hoping someone could help me. I have premier cabinets which are made by kraftmaid. The color is Maple Spice. I have looked in all the stores, online and everywhere I could possibly imagine to try and find this stain but none exists. I did find a stain called spice and tried it, unfort it is red and looks nothing like my cabinets. I am trying to put decorative railings on top of the cabinets so I want it to match. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

Have you called Kraftmaid?
Have you actually gone into a paint store and not just home centers?
Are you sure it's Maple Spice?
I don't even see that as a available finish from Kraftmaid.

I have not gone to a paint store cause I thought it was a lost cause. Never bothered to call Kraftmaid cause I was told they will not give you or get you stain

Most cabinet manufacturers offer their stain for sale. Many prefer to do custom trim and other options and are in need of custom stain. Contact the manufacturer.

Any good paint store [not paint dept] should be able to match the stain for you. Just bring them a sample of the stain [door or drawer] and piece of the wood you need stained that color.

Regardless of whether Kraftmaid will supply the stain your best option is to go to a paint store to get the stain matched. The Kraftmaid stain will not look the same on your gallery rail unless the wood is the same.
Same stain on different wood produces a different color.
Go to a name brand paint store - not a paint department.

I just got Kraftmaid cabinets and was told that they do sell the stain, but it is lie $275 a bottle! My advice would be to call them and see if they can get it for you at a reasonable rate. Secondary to that, you can buy the pieces you are looking for from them pre-stained to your finish.
Also, don't go by the name of the finish as Krafmaid's Maple Spice is MUCH different than American Woodmark's Maple Spice. It looks like Woodmark's Maple Honey Finish.
I think the reason they don't want to sell it is they would rather make the money themselves.
