Could someone tell me wheather the nut holding the blade on is right handed or left handed threads? The edger is a Stihl FC75.

I don't know the configuration of your model but in all the trimmers I've ever serviced straight shaft trimmers will have a left-hand thread and curved shaft models will be a standard, right-hand thread.
