i have a kenmore series 80 washer, its model number is 3356472... which i believe means its actually made by amana... but anyways, it works fine up untill its done agitating, and it just stops, no draining no spinning. i opened it up, the actual pump is fine, but i dont know about the motor, it seems like one motor pumps and spins the tub. so i dont know, help please!! need to know anything else? let me know. oh, and btw, its a direct drive washer if that matters. thanks

look at yor model number again it should look similar to this
110.xxxxxxxxx
there is a switch at the lid that negates the spin cycle unless the lid is down. On some models there is protrusion on the switch that sticks out and engages the lid while on others the switch is recessed and the is a little plastic piece protruding down from the lid to engage the switch. so you either have something broken or a bad lid switch. it's the most common failure on Kenmores when the problem is no spin.
