I am finishing my basment. I am leaning toward steel studs to make a new perimeter wall to hold insulation which has presented a few challenges.
1) How should I insulate? Fiberglass seems to come in 15:. but as the steel is 'hollow' there would be a gap. What is the solution to this?
2) I was planning on unfaced fiberglass. How do you attach the vapor barrier to the steel?

Thanks!

Any home center should also have (available, if not on display) insulation for steel framing that will give you an exact fit.

Down there Id stay with the wood stud an P/T bottom plate.
They have a new insulation set up. With paper back and its friction fit. Look for the new PINK Plus R 13. Id still put a 4 mil poly over it all when its up
