I have a stainless steel sunflower showerhead I've been using for about four years. It's still working pretty well howver I'd like to rinse out any NYC water deposits slowing it down. I've seen ads on TV about some liquid to dip it in but isn't there a home remedy? Vinegar and salt solution?

Vinegar without the salt may work. The product advertised on TV for this is CLR. I also like to remove the shower head to get out any big chunks by hand.

Yes, I'm going to take the showerhead off and try the vinegar. I'll check out CLR only if it's not too expensive.

It's pretty cheap.

Out here in Utah we have really hard water. What I do is remove the shower head and place it overnight in a cup or bowl of vinegar. Does the trick every time.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
