I've been working to get this Craftsman 24cc weedwacker back to running condition. The things i've tried are:
1) cleaning carb with goof off.
2) Checked for spark arrester, doesnt have one.
3) Checked spark, bright and glowing!
4) new gas, and gas lines.
So some more questions:
1) Will a broken primer bulb prevent engine from running, anyway to bypass it, can i superglue it? Cracked it in the process of checking the diaphragm :wall: :wall: :wall:
2) The diaphragm, is it supposed to be kept expanded/bulging out via the spring? because i checked it an it is relaxed/laying down towards the primer bulb. Or do i need a new one and springs?
Notes:
Model: 503-049178
thanks for any help...

I'm not sure what carb you have, but a new primer bulb is only 3 or 4 bucks to replace. If you're having trouble, try the primer first as it may leak air thru instead of pulling fuel from the tank. Good luck, Roger
