The battery on my Black & Decker CMM600 isn't charging completely (it's over 12 years old -- no surprise). I took it into a DeWalt Service center and they have the battery in stock, but the charger is no longer being sold. The service tech told me that a bad battery would have most likely ruined the charger. (He didn't test it, and he didn't ask me for any symptoms.)
I have two questions -- is it worth the risk ($159) it to replace the battery? A new cordless mower is $399.
Can a charger be found through a different vendor?
Thanks!

IMHO,
1. A 12yr old mower is not worth investing $159 in a battery.
2. You can probably find a charger somewhere, but why, a new battery is $159 and a new charger will probably be close to that so then you have the price of a new mower invested in a 12yr old mower, which will probably shoot craps(Murphy of Murphy's Law watches investments like these) and you will have a nice($300) battery and charger that are of no use to you. If you buy the new mower, you get new mower, new battery, new charger and a warranty. Have a good one. Geo
