Good day.
Installing porcelain tile in kitchen. Door in kitchen runs into garage. What is the best threshold to install in this situation?
I purchased one like the image below, but I dont necessarily want to see the tile under the threshold coming in from the garage. I assume this style is for even surfaces. Garage will be the original concrete floor, and thus lower by 3/8" or so from the installed tile in the kitchen. What is the best threshold for this? and how far should the tile go out... 1/2-way under door?
Thanks,

You could use that threshold if you like. End the tile about 1/8" away from the threshold and caulk, dont grout that joint. Since this transitions to your garage, youll need that type threshold or one similar to it.

Thanks Johnny. That make sense... I just wasnt sure since the lowest end against the tile is slighty lower than the hight of the tile... but with the 1/8 spacing and caulk that shouldnt be a problem.
Thanks again... its weird how the small things get to me more than anything else.
