We buy heavy carpet (like 70 oz) and have it professionally cleaned every time a tenant moves out. Some units have carpet 20 years old that's still in good shape.

The advantage to carpet squares is, they are very durable and, if the tenants hurt part of the carpet, you can replace just what's hurt and leave the rest. This would require keeping a lot on hand because of die lot issues down the road. The drawback in a rental is, they are easily removed and could provide some tenant with a really nice floor in their next place.

Good point. It did not occurr to me that they would take the carpeting. And, upon thought, they would.

Thanks,

Lance

I didn't think of that one either. Not going to recommend them to my boss now!
