I'm finishing a bathroom that the toilet sewer line that extends 2 1/4 above the sub floor. Does anyone have any other ideas other than building a platform to sit the toilet on? Can I order a special toilet?

Thanks,
Michael

Is there a cap on the pipe? If so, you just cut it flush with the floor and install a flange to install the toilet. Is it pvc or iron?

Thanks for the response.

There is no cap and it is pvc. If I cut it down wouldn't I have problems getting the flange to fit properly?

thanks

It sounds like the drain is a rough in. Just cut the pipe to the length you need with your flange sitting at finished floor height.
