Hi guys ,, first off thanks for all the help in the past ,, now i've got a couple of questions about a shower spout.

I work in the home healthcare field and occasionally have "extra" little jobs to do to make my clients comfortable.

I have this one fellow who has had a stroke and can't really grasp to well with one hand ,, he wants a personal hand held shower installed on his tub spout instead of high on the wall ,, that being said i can find those at my local hardware store no problem but they are all screw on and i believe his is held in place by a set screw ,, can i still use the screw on type ,, also ,,he has trouble pulling up on the diverter valve on the spout now.
I've seen some that have the attachment for the shower at the back of the diverter and some that are ahead of the diverter ,, my question on these ,, to use the hand held shower attached to the spout ,, would you need to pull on the diverter???
As you can see i'm trying to remove the hassle of the diverter from the picture if possible.

Has anyone seen a cheap push button diverter spout with the shower attachment?? I've seen really expensive spouts with the push type diverters but none with the shower attachment.

I'm really sorry that this is so long and rambling ,,

Gord

You should be able to find one at big box. If not, check with a local plumbing supply house. It is not an unusual item.

are you saying that a push button diverter shouldn't be hard to find?? i've searched the net and seen nothing but pull up type diverters ,, except for a really expensive faucet set.
