Hello,
I recently bought a house and am preparing a room for a renovation. There was wood panelling on the bottom half of the room (bedroom), and when I pulled it off, the drywall (~50 yrs old) had 3 holes (one from doorknob, the other two are about the size of a baseball, not all the way through), and several nail holes and dents. The top half of the room isn't bad, just several nail holes from 50 years of hanging pictures. My question is, would it be easier/better to completely remove the drywall and start over, or fill/patch what is there and paint over it?
Thanks,
Dan

Welcome to the forums Dan
IMO it would be easier to make the repairs. The minor holes and dents can be filled. The door knob sized hole will need to have a patch piece inserted.
