Hi guys. I have a 3 H.P. horizontal Briggs with an air vane govenor. Engine model 80252, Type 0049-01, code 81012603. It was dropped off with no govenor spring on it, just the rod from the vane to the throttle butterfly. The local parts guy gave me spring #6902205, but to save my sanity, I can't figure out how it hooks up?? I hope someone can help on this one, I thank you in advance, Roger

It hooks onto the loop in the linkage rod to the air vane, and goes to the hole in the metal tab on the throttle control near the end of the gas tank.

Thanks Cheese, I had it hooked up like that, but @ idle, the spring is pushed down & kinda bunches up on itself. To me it didn"t look right, but I've never played with a horizontal Briggs with an air vane govenor till now. Thanks again, Roger
