We have purchased a used modular home and the kitchen cabinets need some TLC. The cabinets have some kind if faux wood paper on them and it is stuck good (with the exception of one door). Can these cabinets be painted and if so what is the best way to do this?

Welcome to the forums

They can be painted but you need to use a quick drying bonding primer first. Zinnser's BIN would be good choice - open the windows, it's extra stinky! Make sure the surface is clean before priming ;)

Once the primer is dry you can use most any type of enamel to paint them with.
