Help!! I was cleaning my double hung (tilt in) windows and the bottom half popped out of the frame. I can't remember how to get it back in. :wall: The metal "things" that stick out of the window don't retract so I can't get it back in the track. I'd appreciate any help! Thanks,
Bonnie

Look inside the window track. There should be a plastic/metal thingy blocks(technical term) that the sash pins fit into. The pins will only fit together with the sash at about 90deg to the frame. With the sash tilted to one side, insert one side into the track, then the other side. Straighten the sash and it should drop into the blocks. Raise the sash and it is now OK. Does this make sense??

Thanks. I got it, with a little help! :thinker: By the way, I love the "technical" terms!

Thanks for the feedback. We think we know what the solution is, but if you don't tell us we were correct, we never know for sure. I, too often, misread the question and give a completely wrong solution.
