I have a problem with an old backsaw I had sharpened a while back.

They did a great job as far as making it sharp as whistle, but there is no set left on the teeth.

I can't cut a piece of wood more than an inch thick without binding.

My Dad always had this problem when he went to the local hardware store for this type of service. :wall: He always had this special guy do his saws for him untill we moved. Then the problems started.

I have a few hand saws I aquired from my dad when he was a master and I am proud to use them.

Is there some kind of fixture or something I can buy to re-set teeth on a hand saw.

Thanx for that info.

Nice price too for those saw sets.

After reading the wikipedia page it would seem to me that saw sharpening is a lost art as most saws nowadays are disposable.

I would never think of disposing of the saws handed down to me, they're older than I am and they don't make 'em like that anymore.

Thanx again
