man, I'm old! how old? well, the subject line I just typed made me remember the old Led Zeppelin line "...does anyone remember laughter?...."

anyway, 30 years or so ago, I had a friend that swore by Glass Wax, a pink, creamy liquid that he used to polish his windshield. He drove a heap, and it wasn't even all that clean, but you could always see really clearly through his windshield. well, now that I'm old and don't see so good, a clean windshield is more important than ever. I use newspaper and Glass Plus, but the lousy quality of today's windshields means I have all these tiny pits that twinkle in the sunlight (does anyone remember metal-flake paint?) which is wicked annoying (Massachusetts; sorry). I'd guess Glass Wax would kinda fill those in. When I've Googled it, I find references to it like it's from the stone age, and nowhere to buy it now. Anyone know of a similar product?

I think they still sell it in the grocery store in my town. I forget the brand... seems like the can was pink? Yes, here it is... Gold Seal Glass Wax.

Some say that it was discontinued, and the old stock is all that is available.

The Home Trends catalog used to carry the Gold Seal Glass Wax, but now sells a similar brand. And there are many other automotive type "glass wax" products out there.

I do remember Glass Wax, but it's no longer made. Try Mother's Chrome Polish (used to be called Mother's Chrome and Glass Cleaner). It works the same way as Glass Wax. Also, once the glass is clean coat the outside with RAIN-X. You almost don't need your wipers when it rains.
