I am trying to antique a previously painted cabinet. The cabinet has been painted with an oil based paint. I would like the glaze to collect in the crevices, but am having trouble when wiping the excess off--any suggestions?
Thanks,

I normally use one brush to apply the glaze to the appropriate areas and then use another brush (completely dry) to remove excess and blend the glaze out from dark to light.

I use more than one 'dry' brush, rotating one out when it becomes to full of the excess glaze, cleaning and drying all brushes when the job is finished.

A little playing around with this will allow you to blend the glaze from dark to fading out to nothing.

Thanks George, that did help--but wow that takes a lot of time. I did a sample and now I'm not sure...should I just leave the glaze in the crevices or lightly cover the entire door with the glaze? I'm not sure if both ways would be considered antique and I don't want it to look unfinished.
