I need help, I replaced the head gasket because it smoke and the gasket was broken burnt, and the motor turns but will not turn on. Is there a timing involve, becuse it sounds likes its back firing. HELP...

Hello Freddie902, and welcome to DIY,
I split this from the thread you posted it in and created a thread of it's own. This way your information won't be piled in the middle of someone else's thread and we won't get confused.
We need a little information (engine model#)
I will assume for now that this is an OHV single cylinder engine, and the valves weren't adjusted when the head was reinstalled, hence the backfiring problem.
