Hey guys, got a problem here.
We have a toe-touch stopper in our tub that looks like this:

While taking baths, the water would drain slowly. So I figure the stopper is bad, and I want to replace it. I unscrewed the cartridge, but the piece that screws into the pipe broke.
There are 3 metal pieces that come together with a threaded area for the cartridge insert. All of that broke off.
I bought a new kit, but cannot figure out how to remove the old one. Could somebody give me some direction on this? Thanks for the help.
