I have a rubinet shower faucet that i replaced the valve in...the problem I am having is that the replacement valve cannot support the weight of the handle! basically the handle turns the water on by itself now! any suggestions?!

thanks.

In such cases you need good water pressure - and you can't use plumber's grease, Vaseline, etc. in the assembly. If you have, you have to degrease it and fit it back in dry.

well, i didnt use any grease, and i didnt try it with water pressure, because the cold side with no water pressure as well stays still! just this new replacement valve turns by itself.
