I got some graphite lock lubricant on a pair of nice cotton pants. Is there anyway to remove this stain? It looks pretty hopeless, although I did see somewhere that wood alcohol could be used to remove lead pencil stains. Might this work?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Do not rub stains, as it will drive graphite deeper into fibers. Vacuum with end of vacuum hose to remove graphite particles. Spray stain with denatured alcohol or dry cleaning fluid. Apply a folded paper towel saturated with cleaner and let set. If stain remains, apply heavy duty liquid laundry detergent to which a few drops of ammonia has been added. Let set. Wash in hottest water appropriate for fabric, 1 cup ammonia, and detergent. If in doubt, take pants to local dry cleaner.

Don't put them in the dryer until the stain is gone - the heat will set the stain.
