I bought a fiarly good quality feather bed. I have had it for two years. I remove the duvet cover to wash it. All of a sudden, it is shedding lots of feathers. Is there any remedy to this? And what is the best way to get the loose feathers off? They seem to cling to the duvet cover as well as the bed!

You either need to make, or have someone make, a new "undercover" out of high thread count sheets (the higher the count, the more tightly woven) which will keep the feathers from coming thru.
What's happening is the cover that's on there now, is treated with a chemical to keep the feathers from coming thru and is wearing off, either from moisture or age. There's no way to stop it other than making a new cover.
You probably won't be able to remove the feathers that are sticking to it now (just cover them) but every where else, either shake, vacuum or put in the dryer.
