I recently built 2-7 ft. pillars using L shaped concrete formed textured blocks. I have a 16" center cavity that i want to fill. I want to use concrete but was told it would bleed through the morter? T or F If so What do I put in that wont freeze and expand. I live in east coast canada.

Fill the cores and insert 4l rebars in each - Near the corners.
Fill with grout (sand, cement and pea rock).
Fill the cores slowly (about several hours) and top off after the excess water has been absorbred and the grout has settled/consolidated. - Normal construction for reinforced masonry.
Do not fill/pour too fast or the pressure from the unconsolidated grout can blow out the block. If you used normal block with cores there should be no proble, but if you have thin face shells, you risk a blow-out.
