Hello,

Long story short I have switched to Vonage and changed alarm co's, while I wait for the new alarm to be installed how do I make my system standalone? The phoneline is already disconnected.

Is there a code or something that needs to be entered?

thanks

You will need the installer code, do you have it? If not, look in the FAQ sticky in this forum for the procedure.

You will have to turn off the following:

section 015 option 7 and section 380 option 1

thank you for your reply.....

I read the FAQ,

I hit *1555 and 'by pass' starts to flash....

does this mean 1555 is the installer code?

if so what do I do next?

You said the following....but I don't know how to do that.

"You will have to turn off the following:

section 015 option 7 and section 380 option 1"

I'm a nOOb at this :-)

Any further advice?

thanks

No. First, you need the installer manual for this thing. Run a websearch for "DSC PC 5010 installer manual" or "DSC Power 832 Installer Manual"

The correct key sequence to access programming on a DSC is *8 + [installer code]. On the panel you have, the factory default is either 5010 or 5555, but it's probably been changed. There is no easy end run around the installer code on one of these panels.

*1 is the bypass command, so what you tried to do is bypass zone 55 (which doesn't exist).

Just press # to go back to regular run mode.
