I just bought a house that has a cinder block foundation. I am a new home owner and would like to learn how to make repairs on my own home. Along the front of the house the mortar between the blocks is gone. I imagine its due to the house not having rain gutters. There is no moisture coming inside the house. In the basement, there are a few blocks that are crumbling. How would I go about fixing this? Does the house have to jacked up along that part of the house? Do I just fill in what is missing or do the entire blocks that are affected need to be replaced? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
