There's three things I know of that work on markers and they would be rubbing alcohol, WD-40, and nail polish remover, however, they may also remove the color, since a bit of rubbing is needed, so either test first in an inconspicuous spot or better yet, take it to an auto detailing shop or body shop and let a professional take it out, especially if the car is new.

The solvent for permanent marker is naptha, found in Oops!. However, leather is not forgiving and this would be best handled by a professional.

Sorry to tell you this, but if it's a real leather, then it will act like skin... It's already soaked up that marker thoroughly, and it's unlikely that you'll be able to get it removed without damaging the finish of the leather.

P.s. I work for a highend leather furniture manufacturer...
