I have a come into possesion of a Safewatch 3000 (ademco 20P) that has a 6150 that came with it, I understand the unit can be programmed using this keypad however it is very difficult. When I came in to possesion of this system a 6160CR was also available. Is it possible to set the 6160CR to address 17 and then program the system that way? I plan to keep the 6150 as the primary used kepad. I quess my question boils down to are the 6160 and 6160CR interchangable. Thanks in advance.

There is no difference in the function between the two. The only differences is visual the CR is red and has a trouble l.e.d on it. You will have to enable the keypad address 17 in programming. It is field 190, go here and enter a 1,0.
