How does one remove like 1/32" to 1/16" off the edge of piece of 3/4" maple veneer plywood? Hand planing does not work too well. I don't have a table saw, only a circular saw. I have had to deal with this problem from time to time and I have not found a good solution.

Power planer, or circular saw with a VERY sharp carbide fine tooth. Cut from the back(hidden side), and/or score the back side with a utility knife to reduce tearout. Power planers work very well, and you can find some that are quite reasonable in cost. But consider the cost of a piece of that plywood if you mess it up.

And if you use the circular saw, clamp a straight edge to guide your saw for a good cut.

This is a tough one. That's actually thinner than the kerf on most table saw blades. Even thin kerf blades are usually thicker than 1/16". Sanding seems like the best solution without buying new tools. If I were faced with that, I'd probably use a router to shave off that little bit. Do you have a router? Do you know someone with a router?

Thanks for your replies. I do have a router but have not had it long so I am not very proficient with it. I will have to think on the saw option. I do not want to take off too much. I may give sanding a try. That is what I have done in the past.
