My house was built in 2001 on a slab foundation. I have had problems what the grout cracking in my kitchen. It runs about 25 feet in total making corners around the tile. It was regrouted once but has since came back. This time it has spread more.I do not think there was anything put down brfore laying the ceramic. how can I fix this from coming back?

Your slab is still settling, and it will for some time so to fix this:

Tear up all the tile

Lay down a isolation membrane like Schluter

Put in new tile

Some more knowledgable people will chime in to give some advice as well.

I really can't add much to the above advise. Cracking grout is a symptom of tile that is moving. It's possible you may discover the tile is poorly bonded. If the slab were the issue and the tile well bonded, the tile would crack as well. Since the cracks are just in the grout, tile movement due to a poor bond is the most likely culprit. An isolation membrane is a good suggestion if the slab is the issue and you've got tiles cracking due to it, but may not be needed in your instance.
