We currently have a built in closet. it has sliding doors, shelving along the back wall (about 180 inches long) and two sets of rods for hanging one up high and one regular height.
We need to maximize the clsoet space. Is it possible to expand the built in closet space? The issue I see with this is mainly that the space next to the closetis a wall which seperates the hall from our room. Would it look crazy to build an additional built in closet along part of the wall doubling the size of the closet? If I do this then it wont be built in more likw built out, is there a way to fix this space issue???
ideas are welcome.......

Just a thought - we took our closet dimensions and closet inventory to Container Store, where they design shelving systems for you. We took the design, thanked them very much for their time, and went and bought the materials at Home depot for half the price. We have managed to cram ALL our clothes, even seasonal jackets, into a 6' long closet (no dressers here) for 7 years - with regular purging of course.
