I am just about to seal my driveway, but how do I remove the mildew to prepare for sealing? I have tried degreaser remover on it, naively hoping that would take care of it. Certain swaths, where it is always shaded, have a green coating of mildew.

You need to use a bleach solution to remove/kill mildew. Rinse well.

Thanks for the tip, that got rid of the mildew. I put a 50-50 chlorox-water solution. Then rinsed it real good.
