Hi folks, I'm going to replace carpet with hardwood. The carpet tacks have been glued onto a 3/4 thick gypcrete subfloor. What would be the best way to remove them with the least amount of damage to the gypcrete? Thanks!

I'd use a flat pry bar, but not as a pry bar, rather as a wedge. Use a mallet to gently drive the end of the bar under the strip and see if it'll peel up.

6" Putty knife and a hammer.
Gypcrete... I hope your planning on a wood flooring, you can install as a floating installation.
