I am setting up a new install of a VISTA 20P
I do not have any wireless boards or sensors in my system
I also DELETED all the zones that are unused
Currently I just have my Front Door and the windows in 1 room
the error message I get is CHECK 100 RF RECEIVER???
how do I fix this??
I also have 10 smoke detectors ESL 521 BXT I read in another post that you can use the ESL 505 to have each smoke detector on a seperate zone
Question is do you need 10 ESL 505's or does one work for all zones?
I got light brown resistors with the Vista 20P and I got dark brown resistors with my 4219 Zone Expander what is the differance
Thanks for any help

The Vista 20 resistors are 2000 ohms (2K), and the 4219 I believe are 1000 ohms (1K). Don't ask why. They just do it to screw with technicians in the field :)
It sounds like you enrolled an RF receiver somehow. It thinks there is one, and it's in trouble is what it sounds like.
The ESL 505 lets you put 2 wire smoke detectors on a non-2 wire zone. A 2 wire zone puts power out for the 2 wire smoke detector and interprets the signal over the same wire. The V20P has one 2 wire zone, as do most panels. You would need a 505 for each panel zone except the 2 wire zone. If you can re-run some wire, or if you used 4 conductor in the first place, use 4 wire smoke detectors.

Check programming location *24 (RF House ID Code) and *22 (RF Jam option). I think that if you have anything other than 0 in those without a live receiver, you will get a check 100.
