I had a new ac handler installed in side unit, need to know if the top of handler to roof "had company installed duck work there" after three days leaked all around there work, they used paste with fiber, does anyone know for sure if tape and paste should have been used. used and they also covered my thermo wiring inside the duck work is this commom. thank all you info can help. DT

Not sure just what you have there. But yes the duct board should be like on a metal starter and some screws in it then sealed it up with a duct mastic. The flex pipe should have tie band on it then the duct mastic to seal it.
