I am using a #30 underlayment over my plywood subfloor, do I overlap this underlayment?

From what I have read here you should overlap about 4 inches, or to build up to match tile or another transition; a series of 4 inch overlaps to the needed height.
But I am the question just below yours, so I wouldn't take this as gospel until a moderator wades in.

If it is prefinished wood, the overlap will show in the finished surface!!!!!
If your crawl space or basement is under control for moisture, and you have the required 6-mil minimum moisture barrier installed in the crawlspace, or the basement dehumidified, I would butt the sheets of 30# At the seams, Trowel some asphalt mastic, under the tar paper.
Sand and finish, over lap and you will be sanding the humpidy bump out.

30# asphalt impregnated felt, IS NOT a moisture barrier!!!! It is only a moisture retarder.
