I am getting a new laptop and it will have Windows Vista. I have heard that a lot of the older programs will not work on this. Is this true. MS Office 2003 for example? I don't you can still get XP instead of Vista can you? Is Vista good or bad? thanks

Microsoft is usually pretty good about making sure their things all work together, so Office 2003 will probably work. If you can still get XP instead, you might be happier that way. Not sure if you can.

Yes, Office 2003 WILL work with Vista. I had 2003 installed on my Vista machine for a few months until I got Office 2007 Enterprise.
