I have put tiles on my outdoor balcony. Tiles are porselin. Tiles have been grouted.

Do one need to seal the tiles? I think not? what do you think?

Should I seal the grout and if yes then how many coats like one coat is fine. Or do I have seal the grout once a year?

Seal the grout, but the tiles don't need it.

Thanks Mitch:

How many coats of sealant does grout need and how often?

Since it's an outside area, I'd give it three coats. The first will soak in fairly completely and quickly. The second not so much and the third will take what seems like eternity. Don't apply too much at a time. There are applicators for this purpose, but I don't like them and I just use a small paint brush. You should re-do it once a year.

I have seen in Home Depot grout sealant come in a spray. Does that would do it?

Could some one tell me which brand is good for grout sealing and how to do it. I have never done or seen some one doing grout sealing?

Can I just spray the sealant on grout and use the sponge?

Do a google search about the spray sealer. I think its called stand n spray. It has killed some people and made others deathly ill. Don't use it.

read this. Theres lots more like it out there, just do a google search.
