The stain is from spilled boiling potato liquid which has left a large black spot on the ceramic top of stove. It seems etched in the glass. I've tried different cleaning products and none of them work. I've tried Mr. Clean sponge, comet, vinegar, Fantastic, scraping with razar blade, baking soda, nothing works. Can you help me. Thanks.

Giving cleaner time to soak and soften the baked on stain is important. Reapply cleaner and cover with paper towel saturated with cleaner and wait 30 minutes or more and then scrub with plastic scrubbie. Avoid abrasive scrubbies and cleaners in order to avoid scratching the ceramic cook top. Owners of ceramic tops give very positive reviews for Cerama Bryte and other ceramic cook top cleaners. They report that when used with plastic scrubbie that baked on stains are effectively removed. Reducing heat to prevent boil overs, wiping up spills immediately, using pots with clean bottoms, and keeping stove top clean are tips for minimizing cleaning problems on ceramic cook tops.
