my son had a lime iceblock(popsicle)and has stained carpet,have tried to clean off with water,no luck!! help please

What you have is a dye stain in carpet. Keep stain damp and call a professional carpet cleaner. Most DIY dye stain removal attempts tend to be less than satisfactory, especially if carpet was not solution dyed during manufacturing and has unstable dyes. The pros use special chemicals and heat to remove dye.

ditto what twelepole said..artifical dyes are the problem here....a good reducing agent will work well, but the knowledge and method to remove it would be best left to a pro

I agree that once dry, this is likely permanent. Best just to keep this kind of food and colored drinks like Kool-Aid off the carpet in the first place. We only allow this kind of stuff to be consumed in the kitchen or outside.
