Have a Maytag (Fedders) consumer dehumidifier. Only been used for 1 summer, and it's only a few years old. It stopped collecting any moisture whatsoever. I know it's not my house, because my parents took it, and it did not work there, even though their personal dehumid. is collecting moisture. We just got swamped with the rain in the MN area, so I know there is plenty of moisture in the air with all of our flooded carpets. I took the vent out and it's really not that dirty. Cleaned it a little though but no luck. Have tried all air control settings (1-8) on the appliance. Any ideas what else I can try? Thanks

Do you know if the compressor is running?

Let if you can't tell, put your hand on the compressor, and fee if it's warm or not?

We should be thankfull that we didn't have a flood like the people down in Rushford, and other area. :-(
