I recently purchased an Ademco 6160 on Ebay to program my Vista10-se (one of the window sensors was missing when I bought the house).

The Vista10-se requires 4 wires be connected to the unit, but the 6160 has a 16 pin connector on the back. It did not come with a cable. Does anyone know the correct pin diagram for the 6160. The 4 needed connections are:

Data In
Data Out
Power
Ground

For simplicity, when looking at the panel from the rear, the leftmost pin will be pin 1. I can send a picture if needed.

Thanks for any help.

Nevermind, just took the unit apart and found the proper connections. I'm still curious what the 16 pin connector is for.

Thanks anyway.

I think it's used at the factory for loading the keypad firmware.
