W are doing some interior remodeling. Is there any recommendation as to whether 3D Home Architech or Punch Professional Home Design Suite 12.0 would be the best tool for this application?

$39.99 versus $199.00! For some home remodeling projects you may find that the 3D will meet your needs. If your budget allows for the Punch, then you may enjoy working with a more professional software program. Once you are through with the remodeling, you can sell the software on eBay.

I just bought 3D Home Architect and we're using it to design our next log home. For the cost, it's obviously not "professional grade" but it does what we want it to do quite well.
Our only complaint is with the 3D view feature. Even with my new pc (2.5 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM), if a design is complicated or includes a bunch of furniture and/or plants, rendering the 3D view is really slow. Like 4-5 minutes.
