I need to find a product combo of underlayment and a engineered (preferably 5" hand scraped) flooring that you can not tell it isn't nailed or glued down. I currently have some glue down to concrete engineered wood, and tile that I will be covering with the floating floor.
Thanks, Mike

Yes, they have floating floors. I just installed a very large one, and one more to install in a couple of weeks. It is a laminate, and you put a very thin plastic pad underneath it. Looks just like a solid floor, sounds like a solid floor, and easy to install.

LOL!!!! Yes, that is a magical laminate!!!!

The thicker engineered wood floors do sound better then a thin laminate, but nothing like a glued down or nailed wood floor.

That's what I kinda figured, I just thought maybe cork underlayment with a well built thick engineered might work.

Not that I've ever seen. Any floating floor I've ever done sounds like a floating floor. Nothing compares to the real thing.
