Would someone be able to tell me if there is a different for an impact wrench between using a 1/4" coiled pastic hose and a standard rubber hose?

I have two tanks connect totalling 14 gallons at 100PSI.

Thanks,
Steve.

The kind of hose doesn't matter, the diameter does. It needs to be no smaller than 3/8" to get max power from impact wrench, especially at only 100 psi.

There will be a difference between the two if the rubber hose has a larger inside diameter than the coiled hose.

There is nothing stopping you from using the coiled hose if you get enough air for the amount of power that you need.
Most homeowner pneumatic tools work best on shorter length hoses with a 3/8" diameter as a minimum and if you want maximum air at the tool 1/2" ID is best.

How many CFM is your compressor?
Most homeowner 1/2" impact wrenches require somewhere around 6-7 cfm @ 100 psi.

The size of the hose doesn't matter if you're using 1/4" connections, they're the bottleneck.
