Please help! Has anyone ever floated Mohawk 3/8th engineered wood? It says "glue, staple, or float" but the installation instructions only set forth glue down and staple/nail. I don't want to void the warranty so I want to use the correct adhesive and method for floating.
Otherwise, if I'm installing a sound barrier, can I glue down directly on the sound barrier?

If you are going to glue, then the glue actually goes in the groove side of the wood. The glue is very messy and somewhat time consuming.
A "floating" floor does just that. It "floats" on the underlayment to allow for expansion and contraction.

Call Mohawk!!! Some products are glue and staple only, the T&G are not milled good enough for a floater on some thin engineered woods.
