What does pulse count mean? and what does it do? Do all motions pulse count? on a paradox digi 60 it talks about the digital shield i think it is sensitivity but how does it work exactly? Then it says single edge and dual edge what is that? Any help would be great thanx!

Basically its how frequently the device samples the IR environment. The default setting is usually the least sensitive. The phraseology you are reading in your device is just propriatory wordage for the same concept.

It is rare that you need to set more sensitive than the default. Some of the better ones have settings above and below the default.

Pulse count is actually the number of "zones" that must be violated to cause an alarm. The more zones or higher pulse count required, the less sensitive or larger body required to cause the alarm. If you are covering a typical bedroom or something like 15x15 foot, you could have a higher pulse count with no problem. If you're covering a long hall or a larger room / far distances, you would want the lower pulse count more than likely. A higher pulse count will be less likely to false from minor environmental anomalies, such as a rodent or bird. The best thing to do is walk test it thoroughly, not just to see the device trip once.
