When adding additional foam to pad the chair seat, how to determine where the bias welt is to be sewn? This is a drop in seat; no box as in a kitchen chair seat.

I think you'd need to staple it on rather than sew it on. After you staple the fabric, staple the welt over it right at the edge. Seems this would be the easiest way.

Not sure if you've finished thsi project or not, but he's right.. It'd be easiest to staple the welt on after you've upholstered the seat base..
