Hi,

Foolish me, I washed a red bath rug with and beige bath rug and now my beige bath rug looks mauve. Is it completely ruined or would washing it again by itself with some kind of cleaner help?? Please let me know.

Thanks,

sweetboy

If the rug that is a victim of the dye bleed has been through the dryer or allowed to dry, the dye bleed is likely permanent. There is a dye bleed remover by Rit in the laundry aisle that can be used when dye bleed is fresh. To prevent dye bleed, it's best to wash like colors together and unlike colors separately.
